Celebrate Older Americans Month
Each May, the Administration for Community Living celebrates
Older Americans Month to recognize older Americans for their
contributions to the nation. In honor of the upcoming 50th
anniversary of the Older Americans Act, we are focused on how
older adults are taking charge of their
health, getting engaged in their communities, and making a
positive impact in the lives of others. The theme for Older
Americans Month 2015
is "Get into the Act." The OAA was signed into law by President
Johnson in 1965. The Older Americans Act established the
nationwide aging services network and funding that helps older
adults live with dignity in the communities of their choice for
as long as possible.
By promoting and engaging in activity, wellness, and inclusivity,
more Americans than ever before can "Get into the Act"

Month with their 15th Annual Tribute to Unsung Heroes on May 20,
2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Asbury
United Methodist Church in Allentown. Come join us!
