Who will care for Fido when I can’t any longer?

Nearly two-thirds of all U.S. households have a pet. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, more than 37% of all U.S. households have a dog and 32% have a cat -some have more than one. Add in the horses, birds, and variety of other pets that become part of our families and it's not surprising to read the result of a 2006 poll where nearly half of all pet owners polled indicated that they considered their pets to be members of the family.
